week 41 - crit day 1

in other words pictures of backs and teachers occipitals (occipital? isn't there really an easier word), the refreshments (coffee, what else there is to give for people who haven't slept a decent nights sleep in two weeks), ahos own antti & kalle (maybe even cooler than the originals) and of course one sleeping student.

week 41 - finished

skyscraper is done, done, done. mixed feelings about this mixed use building. aho is now done for me. come friday i'm flying back to finland. weird. but we have a couple of crazy party days still left. pics of those hopefully later (when it's actually happened... you know i don't have a magic camera). now my brain is jello so i'll just leave you with my posters. a recap of the crit later. 

week 40 - National day of Norway

the whole country has gone bananas. this is like vappu in finland. but let me start from the beginning. 17th of may is norways national day and people start partying here (well the previous night if you do it right) at 7 in the morning. we were invited to a rooftop breakfast in the silo. it was faboooosh. even though the weather wasn't totally steady in the morning it turned out to be the most beautiful and warm spring day. everybody had dressed up (except me - in jeans and a t-shirt combo. felt so stupid. luckily heleri had done the same mistake - even though she looked nicer :/ ), there was tons and tons of lovely food and cava (no i didn't have cava either - but the chilean guy felt sorry for me and gave me a bit :D - then heleri spilled all the rest on the floor - such an estonian moment again) and great music. anders was our tourguide for the morning and did a spectacular job.(a picture of him greeting us with a megaphone later on). this morning will definitely be one of my favorite memories of this whole year. and then we went and saw the parade (and the whole population of oslo). and in the end of that we got to see the royal family. the king waved to us and all. oo-lal-la. 

but now we are back at the studio. cruel. the rest of oslo, no let me correct that, the whole of norway is dancing their asses off. and we are trying to get our skyscrapers done. next tuesday is the crit and then on friday it's finland for me. so the countdown is officially started.

week 37 - boring spring shots

so spring has arrived. with it came the desire to go and lay on the fresh grass or go and kick football with friends or have a cold beer in the park or something outdoorsy like that. one thing is for sure, i so don't want to be stuck in school. but here i am. skyscrapers don't build themselves, bastards! but look on the bright side of life. my buscard is not charged so i get to walk from and to school everyday- so fresh air here i come. here are a few fresh shots from my walk today.
