week 28 - marina city

my new favorite fab-retro architecture piece! as most of the skyscrapers were either cold, cool or collected, marina towers always brought a smile to my face. such jolly good fellows. and what a weird-unfriendly-truly american- insiderbar it hosted. super! who wouldn't want to be yelled at when served a drink. :)

week 28 - wright - eous architecture

dear old frank was present in chicago. as a sweet treat the teachers took us to racine to gawk at johnsons wax. but the family company of s.c. didn't allow any pics, so those mushroompilars are now restored via my retinas to my holey brain. we also did a homecall at franks. thanks!

week 28 - Lincoln park and zoo

week 28/29 - chicago

so the excursion to chicago (or shit-ago as we playfully called it... gosh toilet humor never goes out of style) was last week and i came home with: a pair of corduroyd pants ($ 3.97 from Old Navy - i know a teen brand), a massive jetlag (30+ hours of sleep since came home on friday night and we all know that this is alot for any respectable architecture student, but i wake up at odd hours gaah) and some pictures (1500+). i haven't had the energy to start weaving through the heaps and heaps of pictures, but i will soon. i started today to look through the sitephotos and made a "moodboard" (or what ever you would call it) just for the hell of it. so thats all that i'm going to put up today but later this week piece by piece i shall reveal all the coolness chicago had to offer (prepare yourselves for the amazing headlines as: wrighteous architecture, mies - my man, froggnefittes lunching in zürich etc.)...

week 27 - just another day at the office

as we wait for the trip to chicago next week we are keeping busy with our sketch projects. welding and grasshopper workshops are on the agenda. brains are hurting. and foolery is on the rise. tomorrow i shall propably burn the whole school down when welding together my sketch skyscraper, seen on the pics in the state it is now (124 pieces).
